| Problem with Compaq Presario  | | | |  It will not boot up. It gets power fine, but the battery would not recharge and it does not work without it. I did the power/static discharge and it worked for a minute. I had the Geek Squad reset the RAM chips, on Compaq's suggestion. Anyone out there have an idea? I will probably have to send it in for repair, as it is under warranty.

| |  Can I ask you how long you have had your laptop? Also, do you use your laptop power supply whilst the battery is in the laptop? If so, this will wear out our battery fast. The good thing anyhow is that your laptop is still under warranty. Good luck. Andrew
