I need some ideas of how to make it stay. It always blows away when the wind picks up. I've had it for nearly a year, but we've just moved and it seems to be a lot more windy in this area. I was thinking I could weigh it down with bricks, but I think that would be unattractive. what other heavy objects can I use?? Maybe I'll just buy a new and heavier one.

How about a nice flower box on the one end? That way you could update the flowers and greenery year round.

I have an idea. Putting bricks on it is a great idea. What you can do is to find a nice brick which has smooth ends and decorate it. If your husband has some leftover paint, you can use it to pain your brick. You can be as creative as you want. You can also buy a tin of the smallest paint, here in my country a small can of oil paint only costs around RM3. Maybe you can paint the word 'WELCOME' on the brick and put it on both sides of your mat so that they match with the mat. This will look awesome, I can imagine it now.
