How to get paint off of a leather watch band?

Does anyone have any helpful tips on how to get white paint off of a black leather watch band? I didn't notice until the next day after painting that I had little white specs of paint on my band. It is already a replacement band, and was really hard to find. Now I hope that it isn't completely ruined. I feel really irresponsible for getting the paint on there and not realizing it quick enough to just wash it off. It is a water based paint, if that helps. Let me know what you come up with!
