That's quite interesting - I can click on any income amount up to $150,000 and it says that I'll get a $1,000 tax cut - at $200,000 it says I'll get a $500 tax cut and at $250,000 it says I won't get a tax cut. So from income levels of $20,000 clear up to $150,000, everyone gets the same tax cut? It doesn't seem quite right to me that someone who makes $150,000 should get the same cut as someone who makes $20,000 - what happened to spreading the wealth?

I, however, can currently put the maximum amount in an IRA for both my husband and myself and hardly pay any taxes - under Obama's plan, I could only claim 50% deduction for my retirement savings.

I also entered a scenario of a married couple with three dependents and child care expenses making $50,000. Their tax savings under Obama's plan is $1000 (as it is with just about anything that you enter in the calculator) and their savings under McCain's plan is $967 - don't see all that much difference there for a family.

Even $33 helps.

This is true, but the point is that for some people, there is not that much difference between Obama's plan and McCain's plan.
