Do you think people are getting less creative and innovative nowadays?

I just posted up a post on my blog regarding companies not promoting creativity and innovation among the employees. I'm not sure about the West but in my region (South East Asia), such things are common - companies rather have their employees working non-stop on income-generating projects or let them sit there idling so that they can start immediately when there's any project. As a result of this, most people are becoming less and less creative and innovative. If you notice, those useful, creative, innovative and revolutionary products are only done by that few companies - Pixar, Apple, Google and occasionally Microsoft. Do you have such a feeling too? That people are actually getting less creative each day due to our daily jobs and routine.

Yes I do feel that the people are getting less creative and innovative in now a days. This is mainly because of the their routne jobs. And may be this was the reason for many software companies collapse.

That's possible. People are forced to work on their jobs ONLY, unless they are in some specific division (which is normally very small).
