| How can I wash my sneakers without damaging them?  | | | | 
I am going out of town soon and I want to take my Adidas running shoes with me, but I would like for them to be clean, inside and out. Any advice on how to effectively wash them in the washing machine without damaging them? Also, what is the best way to dry them. I hear to dry them in the sun...about how long does that take?

| |  what I do is put them in the wash on a very short cycle
i add the detergent and some oxyclean or baking soda
I dry them in the dryer but to keep them from clunking around and opening the dryer door I placed them in a pillow case that is tied closed on low heat
