Earlier I posted the question ar schools a safe place Based on the fact that yesterday a man walked into a school and was flashing the students. So how about now? Today a man (don't know if it is the same man or not) went into the same school grabbed a kid and fondled him. They apparently had police patroling the area today. So how does a school manage to let a man in again? Who is watching our kids...the police? the school? It sure makes you wounder.

Ah incredible. Well I suppose school safety depends on who you are, where you go, and when. ie. my school had a threat, and we were on like lockdown. We had swat members and everything in addition to the security guards - so I felt very safe that day. Generally, I've always felt very safe there. I'm sorry for the school who apparently can't keep up with the strangers walking in. Small kids should definitely be a priority... and there are a lot of factors... school funding, location and criminal percentages or motives, bullies there... etc. It's a huge responsibility for schools and I do wish all were very dependable.

I agree with you. I know that because of these incidents the schools in my town will probably lockdown for the next couple of weeks and we are an hour away from where it happened (they have not caught the guy). But for the second time in 2 days? And the police were supposed to be patrolling. Thanks for your post.

Yes, that second mistake is unacceptable. Please be safe, and be on watch... and I hope no more children are mentally or physically injured... Take care!
