how the best way to make a approch in people to offer your new business?

I decided to try earn some extra money today, I have a product that I offered to the people and tell them my new business. I just try today, its my first time to do like this, offering people a new product. Sad to say is no one buy, but the good is they take my telephone number so if they want to buy they can call me. I don't have experience for being saleslady and I'm afraid that am my approach them are not good.
What good approach I can do to make this new business success?

What are you trying to sale. In the sales world the big secrate is to turn there no's into yes's. I could never make a good sales person. I look at the persons situation and I am not going to push on someone, something they don't want. or can't afford. I guess that's why I will problie never be successful. But I don't want sucess that way. You have to really beleive in what you are tring to sell and I have not found much I really beleive in. My friend got talked into buying a vaccum she could not really afford. And everyday she try to convice herself what a great vaccum it is..She gave 2400.00 for it. And even after 2 years she is still paying on it

What is that? Networking? Well, if it is, you better get some training first because it will really be hard for you to convince people to buy your products or join you.
