As it is an importad celebration from the US, I do not really celebrate Halloween, other than watching the scary movies showing on my telly. I do not eat a special dinner or candy or anything. I think those of us who are not borned with this celebration, do not seems to think it is so important. However, How many of you out there do celebrate Halloween, and how do you celebrate this event?

I wouldn't say most of us celebrate really. Kids like to get candy, a lot of us like to watch scary movies, and that is about it. Real celebrations I guess would be for those who are wiccan or pagan. I know a few mylotters really celebrate Halloween as they are wiccan or pagan. Like a real celebration. I don't much about that since I'm really into just the fun of scary movies and seeing kids dress up.

Well, AmbiePam, I have moved ten minutes from town, so I am not seeing any kids dressed up and to be honest, I really do not understand this. I also like to see a scary movie from time to time, but do not nesserly se it in halloween. And I did not see any on telly yesterday. They did not showed any god of them. My favorite is wes cravens terror on elm street, so I have those in my bookshelf to see anytime I like. What is Your favorite?

I've never seen any of the Nightmare on Elm Street movies. I like a lot of scary movies, and I sometimes prefer the thriller suspense kind like Signs. But I really liked the recent remake of When a Stranger Calls, and I also enjoyed Halloween: H20. It was a movie that brought back the original character in a 20 year anniversary of the movie, in a different setting, but with the same killer.

I celebrate it by decorating my house about 3 weeks before halloween and then leave them all up till about a week after. We have a few friends over, which will be tonight, and we sit around and have a few drinks and talk. I give out candy and stuff to the kids that come trick or treating to my door. I make up little bags with pencils and sharpeners and erasers and candies. This year I only got 5 kids at my door. I don't think that people celebrate it as much as when my kids were young or even like when I was young. It is too bad that people don't do more for it. It is a fun tradition and good for the kids to continue it. But some parents are afraid of all of the nuts out there and so they don't take their kids out. It's a real shame, I think. Some people go to parties or bars where everyone dresses up. I used to do that when I was younger but now I don't anymore. Might be fun to do again, though. hehe Alrighty then, talk to you later, your friend, chris.

Well, Hi Chris, Thank you for Your response, I wonder, what is the main reason for You do go trough all that in order to celebrate halloween. I have not understood that since we have imported this tradition. For me, it seems to only be something for our stores to try earn more money implement this tradition in our country. The only thing we do honer is the loce once who has passed away. Put a candle and some flowers on the grave. That is all We do actually.

It is all just for the fun of it. To see the kids dressed up in costumes, is cute.
