Every society and culture has its own "ideal" body image for women. In America, more often than not, the "ideal" image tend to lean toward a lean, slender woman with large upperbody parts and smaller lower body parts. It is interesting, though, how sme men prefer a woman of more curves and with a little more weight to her body.
How is body image portrayed in your society and culture for women? If you could change that "ideal" image, what would it be?

The crazy thing about the culture of body image is that everyone is born with a certain body shape. There is nothing you can do about what you were born with you can only emphasize your more attractive features.
I think the emphasis needs to be on health. To be the healthy woman or man you deserve to be.
I found this website www.myshape.com and it really is wonderful. You might stumble on my blog i just posted and it explains how it works,, but i'll give yoiu a basic summary about it. You take all your measurements and type them in.
After all that it tells you your body shape and gives you your own cumstomized shopping list of clothes and It explains your body to you.
It really helped me to see the beauty in all the things that used to annoy and frusterate me about my body.
In the end it's all about how you feel about yourself.
