| | 3.  arkramesh (109) | 1 year ago |  Its a bad habit. If you switch off the pc, the first thing gets worst is your hard disk. Because when you switch off, the heads in the hard disk will come to its original position. Because of this the HDD get scratches and the datas may corrupt.
And motherboard also gets affected.
Always shutdown dont switch off.

Yes, I agree with this. It's a bad habit. Of course, sometimes the power goes out for no reason (i.e. NO thunderstorms in the area, just some weird random power surge that nobody could have predicted), in which case you have no control over that, it just happens, unfortunately. But, most of the time you have the power, and you should choose to shut the computer down properly. It is just the right thing to do to preserve the life of your computer.:)
