Angel Locsin (born Angelica Colmenares on April 23, 1985), is a television and film actress, commercial model, film producer and fashion designer in the Philippines.
Locsin rose to prominence after being cast as one of the lead stars in the fantasy-themed television series Mulawin in 2004. Soon after, she starred as the superheroine Darna in the TV adaptation of the Mars Ravelo comics. When her contract expired on March 2007, Angel did not renew her contract to her mother studio, GMA Network, and signed an exclusive contract in ABS-CBN despite her booming career on the first.
Locsin is currently filming Land Down Under, her first movie in Star Cinema to be released on November 12, 2008 on Philippine theaters.

well i almost forgot about this topic....lets get back to angel...i believe that she really has a talent in acting and that was her weapon in GMA and now that she is with ABS...she really needs to step up her game and hone another abilities in order to keep up with the network's competitive environment...but i have to say if she will just be patient and willing she will go a long long way.

wow! i love angel locsin. I like her beauty. and transferring to Channel 2 is really a good decision. she can still develop her talents there.

so you were not angry when she moved to abs-cbn?because most of the kapuso are angry and sourgraping still about it and they say lots of negative things about angel.

no, i was not angry. i was happy because I am more of a kapamilya than kapuso. i just watch gma 7 because of her and alex de rossi.
it's just like an employee, when he dont want his job or have a better offer, he resigns and joins another company. what she did was similar to that.

I think she is one good actress (not yet great). Anyways, I commend her with her career move because as I see it, Angel needs distortion in life, thus, when she decided to leave GMA it's one of her many ways to validate if she is indeed can do a come back minus the support of her former mother studio.

Angel Locsin? She is not my type of an actress! I don't like her type of beauty and her type of acting as well. I was in fact asking why GMA was giving her such big breaks. She was so lucky that GMA was favoring her more than the other GMA artists. I think her transfer to ABS is not a wise move. She won't be getting the same treatment there because they also have lots of big names at ABS. I think Angel's star has lost some sprakle every since she left GMA. Anyway, it's her decision so I just wish her the best although I never really liked her.

maybe she just needs a little polishing so that she can shine brighter...and that is what abs-cbn is doing...they have different strategies on how to handle their talents..unlike gma who is into focusing on one lead star which definitely has no amazing talent thats all..u know who im talking about a.k.a "the replacement of angel".

I loved Angel Locsin, before I really don't like her but was she blooms I can see she really know how to act and I have been reading positive comments about her. Well I think that the only reason why Abs hired is to kill the competition, you can observe that before she was offered by ABS she really is soaring high on the other network, well no one can blame her as her move is what she thinks good for he. I love her in Lobo, she really did a good job performing her character there.

yes she is outstanding in lobo, funny it was like she is starting again when infact she made many teleseryes and movies in the other network..but yeah you are right she is definitely good in lobo.
