for him that would be freedom. we all have different ways to define a word or define a feeling. for me freedom is doing something and not regreting it. waking up in the morning without regrets is freedom. but i can say that what Paulo Coelho said is true. when we own something we no longer like it for we crave to have something else so what we dont have inspire us t oget or to ahieve it.

right,it's like saying we sometimes tend not to be contented on what we have thus we aim for something more.

hi there, bestie.. i've read eleven minutes and paulo coelho's writing style is really admirable.. :) here's my two cents: the most important thing in the world is LOVE.. and we don't own it, nobody does, inasmuch as we really don't own anything in this world.. genuine love liberates and it doesn't restrict who you are as a person.. in fact, it enables you to shine brightly to be the best person that you have been pre-ordained to be.. i speak of genuine love in terms of the kind of love that JESUS has given us when He gave Himself up for ALL of us so that, by faith, we can be FREE from the bondage of sin.. it is liberating once we get to understand that we have a good GOD who is in control of everything, Who has a PURPOSE and a TIMING for everything and has given us free will.. A loving and just God who doesn't 'impose' Himself upon us yet, who in His love for us, disciplines us when we need to be corrected so that whatever messes we have done in our lives may be transformed into wonderful messages - lessons - that make us better, stronger, wiser individuals.. happy myLotting! :)

wow!! i really admire Paulo Coehlo too. this for me means that we as individuals can enjoy freedom even if we don't know that thing. because for me, freedom can be taken away from us anytime. like change, its something in this world that is close too constant depending on how you view and define it.
