| I hate when athletes make demands! | | | | I recently heard on the radio on my way to work last night that the detroit pistons traded Chauncey Billups and Antonio Mcdyess to the denver nugets for Allen Iverson. Then I read on espn.com that Mcdyess has no interest in playing for any other team accept the Pistons. He's hoping that the nuggets will by out his contract and release him with hopes of returning back to detroit. I'm sick of pro athletes making demands and telling teams what they want. I think these team owners that give into these demands are idiots! I remember when Keith Van Horn came out of college, and he said he didn't want the 76ers to draft him. That's not his choice. Steve Francis did the same thing. When he was drafted by the Vancuver Grizzlies, he forced them to trade him to the Houston Rockets cause he didn't want to play for them. How Do you determine what team you want to play for when you're a rookie? No matter how good you are in college, and no matter how high in the draft you're selected, no athlete has the right to tell certain teams not to draft them. Especially when they haven't even proven themselves at the pro level yet. Even then, every athlete needs to keep their mouth shut and play. These guys make millions of dollars and are themst spoiled people on the planet. .I remember when the New Jersey Nets offered Kenyon Martin a conract extension a few yrs ago for 7yrs $60 million and he turned it down. He thought he was worht more. So the nuggets signed him fora little over $100 million, and he's been on the injured list ever since. This was one of my favorite players coming out of college, but does anyone think he's worth $100 mill? How many of us out there would accept your job to pay you $60 million over the next 7-8yrs? How many of us would turn that down? It's funny to see guys turn down millions of dollars. Look at Latrell Sprewell's dumb a$$! He turned down a contract extension from the Minnesota Timberwolves cause he thought he was worth more. Now he's not even in the league. He's been around fo a long time, he's made enough money, how much more does he want? Maybe he was trying to make up for all the money he losy when his dumb a$$ choked his coach and got suspended! Moron! Athletes are the biggest bunch of spoiled brats! And thre team owners aren't any better for giving them what they want. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
