Make a Kid's Phonebook

It's important for small children to know how to dial 911 "just in case". It's also a good idea for children to know how to get in touch with family and friends if ever there was an emergency and you were not able to dial the phone. Why not make a phone book just for kids? Get a small book like a photo album. On each page put a picture of a relative or friend and their phone number next to the picture. This is especially helpful for small children who may not know how to spell the person's name. Don't forget a page for 911. This is also a good idea for some people who can't remember anyone's number, like the elderly.

Make sure you attach it next to the phone, by a string or something and let the Kids dial when you are call someone so they know exactly what to do, remember if they need to dial 911 they will be upset so it needs to be something they are use to using. Good Idea

That is an AWESOME idea!!! Especially with Christmas coming up! I can see making them for the kids in the family. My daughter is almost 2 and my family lives in FL (we are in PA) so we keep photos next to the phone for my daughter to look at when she is talking to who ever. We will tell her grandma is on the phone and she picks out grandmas picture. Same thing when she visits them and is talking to us. What a great idea I'm gonna make a few for the family.
