Yes if you print all the time. Those cartiriges cost a lot. I need to get Color and Black and white, I think I will get some Friday. Have a good day!

I found Epsom eat the ink they may be cheap to but but they make up with the cost of the ink.

I have a Cannon i550 and I also have a HPC5280.

Both are fair to goo with the ink,

I also use refills and some times the ink is used up fast but I would say this is more about the refill than the printer,

If you get refills from the same place ask them about your cartridges condition and how suitable they are, Good to ask a few for comment,

It will be interesting to see what people say here in comment.

The HP is for my photo work but as yet I have not bought the photo ink as it is twice the price as normal ink.

But for me Id be looking for a new printer and stay away from EPSON. but thats me,

My printer uses a lot of ink, too. I am using HP Deskjet F2100 series. The printer is not very expensive but I have to buy a new cartridge after printing not more than 200 pages. One cartridge costs around RM40 and this is expensive!

I think after this I am going to seek the advice from a computer technician which is also a friend of mine and my husband. I think he knows where to buy a refill cartridge container. I think it is much cheaper and practical to use.

I bought a new printer in August this year.
It was working great,as I was using my old laptop.
In October,I bought a new laptop.
And after that,my printer does not work as it should.
Often,it use too much ink.

my printer does not take too much ink. I have a HP laser jet. I change my cartridge very rarely. However, I do use it quite often. I know Im giving subjective answers here. Am wondering how to quantify it. At an average, I print 2-3 packs of paper and change my cartridge once. That should be fair enough I guess

I recommend Brother printers. I have the MFC465CN model. The good thing is that cheaper knock off ink is available and you only need to replace the black, yellow, cyan or magenta cartridge that has run out. The bad news is that once one cartridge runs out, you need to replace it before you can print again. Ink doesn't run out quickly though (average 500 pages per cartridge).

Not sure if I can give a web address so try this....do a Google search for "Printer Ink Software"....I used to use a software program to control the amount of ink used when printing, you can print about 4 times longer...they say.
Now I'm using an HP printer because I switched to Linux Ubuntu 8.1 (dual boot XP and Linux) and my old Lexmark would'nt work on Linux. My old laser Brother printer used to print about 2000 pages (black only)....miss those days.
