I am Canadian but I still stayed up to make sure I heard who won. The United States' politics effect Canada greatly so I am always very interested what is happening over there.

I was asleep too because the announcement was made around 3 AM my time, but as soon as I woke up this morning I turned on the TV to see the results on CNN. I would have liked to have stayed up to see it all unfold but I had meetings today and couldn't afford to take the risk of sleeping in late or being half asleep during them! lol.
