as i came in this new city now i live in ,i find a strange phenomenon that few people will give out his seat whild in the bus or subway there is an old man or a woman with a baby. not only i feel strange about it, but also i will feel a bit strange as i give out my seat while all the other person look at me in a strange way.
after a few times, i get accoustomed to it and persuade myself to forgive others' behavior but to insist on my principle to help others

Hello,
here in Italy we call this kind of behavior "good education".
Is something quite usual here or, at least, i should say it was something quite usual here, coz the new generations are going to lose this behavior.
When i was young was totally normal that a younger people give out his seat to an old people, as well as to a pregnant woman.
It cost really few effort and help all of us to live better (we will become old sometime), and it let us remember we are humans, and we are a community.
So i'm glad to know somewhere else there are people that care about the olders ones.
Thanks for your attestation.
