Whats the best webpage development software youve tried?  |

|  I have tried Joomla and Frontpage, Joomla is for linux, a freeware while prontpage is for windows. I find the Frontpage easier to use, it is more user friendly. Joomla on the other hand has a fixed format that i dont know how to change. is there a better software for web page development that you have tried out?

| |  yeah i agree that frontpage software is easy to use...you gather some information and you will paste it what part of the webpage you want....it is easy rather than the codes in programming...

| |  I started web development before there was software but I would say the first one that got my attention was DreamWeaver. I never liked Frontpage. It may be better now but I lost interest in it a long time ago.
I wanted to get out of web design as it took up way too much of my time leaving me no time to have a life. I dropped a few clients and taught a few how to manage their own sites so now I only have a hand full of clients that require my services.
The clients I taught to manage their own sites I taught using XSite Pro. It was easy to learn yet it had a lot of power for search engine optimization.

| |  Frontpage is my first web builder software.
But now i'm using Dreamweaver + Photoshop for designing, Joomla for fast build and easy manage , and Codeigniter for PHP framework / in-house development, thats very helpful for newbie like me ;)

Its depends on you how professional and complex website u want to develop, if you r going to be more professional, try Visual studio.net or web matrix from microsoft.
