Update On Mom And The House

Mom is home now and is feeling a lot better today however she still has pain but it's not as bad as it was however, she's so worn out. There's nothing like pain to wear a person out both mentally and phyically. Hubby and I went to my parents house and helped out with some cleaning that desparately needed doing for dad is no domestic goddess. It made mom feel much better as far as being in a cleaner house. Dad knows better but he just doesn't care like mom does. She is so worried about getting bugs in her house, who can blame her? Dad is a slob and that's all there is to it. He's not about to change so we just have to accept him for who and what he is. UGH. 
About the house, the guy does want it but is going over his finances with his lawyer to see how if he can afford it or not. Since he's going through a terrible divorce, he can't buy anything of value right now or his soon to be exwife can go after it so he wants to see how long he'd have to rent before he's safe to buy. Soooo that said, it's still up in the air. I say this, at least we got this far which is much further than we were before! It sounds really promising so keep up with your prayers for they're all being heard!! Praise God!! Mom's birthday is the 20th of November, which is just days away, hopefully it'll be a wonderful birthday present for her that this guy rents or rather buys the house!! Wouldn't that be awesome? Oh my gosh!! It would be so awesome and then some!!
Hubby went to see his step dad, he just got out of the hospital and he has dementia, just like hubby's mom had. He doesn't have much time left and is fading fast. It's what he wants for he wants to be with his wife.
So that's the update on all the situations. When it rains, it really pours!

I am so happy that your momma is out of the hospital and doing better. The house business does sound promising, thats really good. I just hope the guy rents it for now, that will at least be a big worry off your back for a little while. Sorry to hear about hubbies step dad, that is sad. Take care, I am a hoping that things continue to improve for you all.

Hi catsanddogs! Good to hear that your Mom is doing better and
she is out of the hospital. Hopefully more good news will
follow! I will keep praying! So now maybe you can settle down
a bit too. It would do you some good if you tried. It isn't
good for you to be so stressed out either. So try to get some
rest and stay a bit calmer now that things have quieted down
a bit! Do take care of yourself!

I so hope so Opal. It's been such an emotional roller coaster since April and I'm so ready to get off!! lol I've been trying to catch up on some neglected things around here so no I'm not resting any. I've got to get caught up in case something else goes wrong and then I'll never get caught up. So far this is what I know now, the guy is checking his finances with his lawyer to see if he can afford the rent on the house and later on buy it when he gets divorced. Thanks so much for all your prayers!! They're being heard!! Yippeeeeee!!

I hope that guy can come up with something and take the house off your hands. That would be so awesome. I am sorry about your husbands step dad. You and your husband deserve a nice vacation when everything settles down. At least to take a few days to yourself and veg out.

A vacation would be oh so nice!! and maybe some day we'll get it but I doubt it'll be anytime soon though. All I want right now is for mom to get well and that house to be sold and it will (I keep telling myself that) eventually, I hope. Hubby has gone to visit with his step dad today and will be back some time tonight.

Well I hope you have a great big umbrella opened up for all that raining hon. I'm glad your mom is home and feeling a bit better. And I'm still praying for the house to be rented by that guy. That definitely would be an awesome birthday present for mom. Please tell her happy early birthday from me. Her bday is only 3 days after my sons! Hugs to you.

I should get a t-shirt with the salt logo "when it rains it pours!" for it's been just that since April. One deg gone thing after another and another and another!! I'm soooo past the point of "enough already!"It looks really promising that this guy will rent before buying which is almost as good because at least some income will be coming in which will pay the mortgage payment. Later on once this guy is through his divorce, he'll buy it. We only hope! I will tell mom what you said!! Same goes to your son as well!! Hugs to you too Kat!!

I am glad to hear that your Mom is home now..my husband knows all about the pain..He is in pain 24/7...has been for over 18 years...
Prayers to your Mom..and everyone else....I sure hope this does work out as far as the guy buying or at least renting the house...That would be a big stress reliever for all involved..
Sorry to hear about your husband's step dad...He will be at peace when his time comes and he will be with his wife...his prayers will be answered...

My husband is the same way, in pain 24/7 thanks to 27 years in the army and the things they made him do so I do sympathize with you and yours. Thanks for the prayers!! So far the guy is still checking his finances with his lawyer to see if he can afford the rent payments and then buy it later on down the road. It will be such a relief to be rid of that darned house!! I can't wait for that day to come!! It can't come soon enough!!

Oh I hope that it works out, but remember if it doesn't, that means it wasn't meant to be..If the guy at leasts rents, that would help, wouldn't it? And then when he is clear to buy, I hope he does..
Glad to hear that your mom is not in as much pain, did you contact her doctor? What did he say?
Sorry to hear about your hubbys step dad, it has got to be hard, didn't he loss his mom not too long ago?

Yes exactly.... we have a feeling that he'll be renting for a while before he'll buy and that's ok, at least income will be coming in and the mortgage will get paid. Of course if he buys, it'll be much better but renting is surely better than nothing.
I haven't contacted mom's doctor yet, I'd rather see the hospital president first and of course the media but can't right now because hubby has the car, we only have one now. I've got so much to do at home and at my parents tomorrow so it won't happen in the next few days, maybe Monday or Tuesday.
Yes, hubby lost his mom in May. He's not really upset about his step dad for they weren't all that close because he's mean, just like his mother was but he still loved his mother and more or less respected his step dad.
