There are two kinds of buds in plants, namely vegetative buds and floral buds. The vegetative buds lie at the tip of the branch. This bud is found on the meristematic tissue which leads to the formation of leaves and even adds to the length of the branch. The floral bud is a bud which when grown and developed, becomes a flower made of petals, sepals and reproductive organs. Compared to the flower, the floral bud is smaller and the organs are in the process of development.

A flower bud or a floral bud is the flower that has not yet opened. Once it opened already, we can say that it's in full bloom.
