All of us must be familiar with the phenomenon of NBE or the Near Death Experience, as it is so called. It is an amalgamation of personal experiences studied along with parapsychology. I faced this whilst having my second caesarean at the medical center. As the anasthesia progressed, I visualised myself slowly detaching rom my body. I can recall the absolute terror of not being able to communicate this to my doctor while she sweated it out totally oblivious of my dilemma. I actually floated above and the doctor holding my son as I was being operated. A slow calm and serenity envloped me as I returned back to my body. Later, my doctor brushed it off but she was amazed when I was able to recognize two sisters who came to the operation theatre after I was administered anaesthesia.
