Man Utd lost again, this time to Arsenal. But it was a fast-paced end-to-end classic English Premier League game. They've lost to Liverpool. They've also lost to Zenit St Petersburg, which should not happen. Man Utd's defeat to Arsenal just shows the weakness that's in the Man Utd defence at the moment. Rio's starting to make silly mistakes again and again. The Vidic-Ferdinand partnership is not as solid as before. The communication between Van Der Sar and the central defensive pair is also not as good as last season. What is going on? Is it just an excellent performance from Arsenal and Nasri? Or is it a very poor display from Man Utd? Man Utd have lost to two of the Big Four teams already this season and have dropped points on a few other matches. Is it because of the poor team performance or is it because of the tough away fixture against the big teams that Man Utd has to tolerate with at the start of the season?

I didn't watch the match, but how sad my favorite team has lost ground losing this game. Arsenal-United games have usually been fast-paced close encounters with narrow scorelines. I would have thought given United's recent good run and Arsenal faltering in these past few matches that United will win this derby and close the gap on the leaders. Somehow Arsenal usually lifts the game when they face United. Anyway, it's still early in the season and there's a long way to go, so anything can happen to the top 4 teams in the EPL. I expect that the positions will be juggled around a couple of times as the league progresses, and anyone can lead the pack.

Yes, you're right, it's still too early. But I've got a feeling that Arsenal won't be included in the top four this year. They've lost too many games. I think they'll be replaced with Aston Villa.

If Aston Villa makes it to the top 4 at the close of the season, that will shake the EPL a little. Probably it is the guess of most followers of the English league that Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man U will always claim the top 4 spots given their large purse strings and ability to buy quality players to always challenge for the leader board.

I think Manchester United has been untouched for this season and that their lineups are more or less the same. There are some changes that is being employed in almost all teams and that the Man U we have seen in the last Champions League has changed a lot. Maybe Sir Ferguson should be doing some fixing with his wards. Else they will be the great disappointment for EPL this season.

There is a slight decline in the way Man Utd defends. We're not as rock solid as last season. Alex Ferguson needs to do something about the defence surely.
