Do we really get Chinese foods in India?

In India, everywhere you will find at least one food stall selling Chinese foods. However, take a round in 10 such stalls, even in the same locality, you will not find any consistency in the food. My question is whether the Indians really know what are Chinese foods? A few of my friends who have either stayed or visited China, says that they have never seen this type of spicy foods in China. The foods are mostly highly oily, and can cause increase in cholesterol. Should we continue to eat Indian rubbish in the name of Chinese foods?
