What is your favorite concert you have been to?  

Oh you are in right timing. We went to concern tonight and i never thought it was the best band i like hearing on the radio until i heard them singing " Eye of the Tiger" lol yes my fave music and band is Survivors. I am really happy i finally met them here. hee hee

I haven't been to a concert in ages! I guess maybe I've outgrown them or something - I don't really like the crowdedness (is that a word? LOL) or the exceedingly loud music. BUT, in my younger days, I saw Teddy Pendergrass before his accident and it was super. I also went to the Summer of '76 Jam in Jacksonville, Florida, which had Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchett, The Outlaws, The Charlie Daniels Band, and others. Two other really good ones I went to in Charlotte, North Carolina, were Parliament/Funkadelic (what a weird, good time!) and Prince! Would have loved to have seen Guns and Roses - but, oh well, guess I'll just have to make do with "greatest hits!"

The best show I've ever been to was AFI. Yahoo music holds a contest every year to pick "the next big thing," and in 2006 when I saw AFI the band that won the contest was Nightmare of You and the prize was to tour with and open for the AFI Summer Shudder tour. So for starters, I got a new favorite band at that show because I'd never heard Nightmare of You before that but fell completely in love with them.

But the AFI show was amazing. Whereas at most concerts the fans call out the name of the band to get them onto the stage, AFI fans chant "Through our bleeding we are one," which is a little chilling the first time you hear 1000 or more voices in near perfect unison. But that's the best part of the show, the energy and unison of the audience. It's nearly fanatical but truly amazing. You have to be there to truly understand how it feels.

the best concert that i ever have been present at was Patstock 2007. The band was in one word: supersledifious. in two words they were [explicit delete]ing awesome. i feel that the Coldplay concert i am going to on Tues. in Atl. will be good too but not as good as Patstock

I went to ozzfest once, it was grand. except every time sound came out of the speakers it felt like i was getting punched in the chest. i had to wear ear plugs the entire time. very weird. also, i brought a sandwich

The best concert/gig I ever went to was in 1997 at the Cobram Barooga sports club on a Saturday afternoon, there was three bands Custard, The Fireballs and The Fauves. I sat against the foldback speakers at the front of the stage and watched the show, I wore three t-shirts and asked my friends to go and get them signed for me.

I too love concerts. I feel most free at them. I think my favorite concert was the Grateful Dead. My husband bought tickets for my wedding gift 17yrs ago. I have never seen so many items being sold at a concert before. The music and atmosphere was unbeatable. We have been going to concerts for our anniversary ever since. It has become a tradition. My 2nd favorite would be Ozz Fest. They always rock.
