| Fuji cameras | | | | I have an Olympus digital camera but a black mark appears on all photos. So I would like to buy a new camera. Whatever I buy has to be compatible with XD memory cards. So I have a choice out of an Olympus or Fuji camera. I like a good zoom and Fuji seems to have cameras with amazing zoom. Olympus seems more expensive for a camera with a good zoom. Do you suggest I get a Fuji digital camera? Would suggest I get rid of the 7 XD cards I have an get the more popular SD cards? Then I would be able to buy almost any make of digital camera. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | When it comes to point and shoot digital cameras, my favorite brand is Sony. I own around 10 digital cameras of all different types of brands, and I've found Sony to be the best when it comes to digital point and shoots. Of course, Sony cameras take Memory Stick Pro Duo cards... which is entirely different than the XD cards you currently have and the very popular SD cards! In general, SD cards are good to have as they can be used with lots of other electronic devices besides digital cameras- MP3 Players, cell phones, camcorders and video game consoles all use SD cards. In fact, when I go to use one of my digital cameras that takes SD cards I can never find my SD card because it's either in my Nintendo Wii or my MP3 player or some other device! So if memory wasn't an issue, I would go with a Sony camera. If you want to keep your XD cards, I would go with a Fuji. Or if you have a lot of other electronic devices, I would go with a camera that takes SD cards because those cards can also be used with other things. | | | | | | | | | | | |

| | Hi maximax8, In my opinion, I think xD is not worth for you to keep upgrading on. Considering that it lacks the compatability factor which means that if your camera spoilts in the future, you will have to keep getting an Olympus. Technically, olympus does not produce the top range compact cameras. The limited in demand will definitely keep the retail price of xD cards to the higher range. Furthermore, when xD becomes obsolete in the future, your camera is as good as dead if no one else is willing to sell you even if it is a second hand card. If you intend to get a Fuji, I would recommend the F series camera. It has relatively better control on shutter speed, aperature, higher ISO with lower noise etc. Hope that this helps...happy MyLotting... | | | | | | | | | | | |
