"Pursuit of Happyness" is not in my future...

I have been trying to watch "Pursuit of Happyness" for months now, but just haven't been able to. I belong to Blockbuster on-line and I've ordered it twice through there. Both time the movie would not play. I know I didn't get the same disk because at one time I had 2 of them, and I haven't been able to get them to play in my DVD player. Everything else plays but that doesn't. I tried to go into the store and use my free coupon a month, but they never had the movie. This weekend I finally rented the movie from the store and it STILL didn't play. I've tried to order it on PPV with my TV provider, but it never lets me because it's always showing on a premium channel that I don't get. Today I looked again and it's not ever listed. Every has told me this is such a great movie, but it looks like I'll never know...

That's just so frustrating I believe. Indeed a very great film it made me a teary eye at some point when Will and his son... oopppsss, I almost blurted. Anyway, you can watch it online streaming if you want, there are good copies that is free to watch. If you are interested then let me know because I know several sites. It is really a wonderful movie.

I'll probably download it on my ipod - I'm sure itunes has it - and hook that up to the TV (I think I can do that...) so we can watch it. It's not that cumfy to watch it on the computer, I'd like to be relaxing on the couch... I don't mind paying for it either, I just hope it's really as good as everyone says!!! I've heard FANTASTIC stuff about it and even know some people who have met the guy it's about.

What bad luck with the movie. I rented Hellboy and got the animated one and not the movie. I also rented GET SMART and was so disappointed in it I could not finish watching it. Good luck to you.

I am worried that after I can finally get to watch it that I wont like it. I'm pretty sure that wont be the case, but it's happened before with movies.

It is a really good movie. Gosh, sorry you have had so many things happen to keep you from seeing such an awesome movie. Hope it works out soon that you are able to finally see Pursuit of Happyness.

I'm sure I'll figure something out soon! I'm thinking of downloading it from itunes and hooking that up to my TV to watch it... We shall see!

Hey reiny~ That is really strange! It's only that movie that
won't play! I wonder what that means! Why would just one movie
not play in your DVD player? That sounds like something that
would happen to me! I don't have a DVD player so I couldn't
tell you if it did happen to me. I also have never seen the
movie either! Do you have a VCR? Maybe you could try getting
it that way or I guess it probably wasn't made in that form
anymore. That is so peculiar that just that movie won't play.
Did you try getting it from another place. That would really
bother me. I would keep trying just to find the reason why
it won't work in the DVD player if it took forever to find
one that played!

Sometimes I have a problem with Widescreen movies but I can usually get them to play. For some reason though, this one just wont do it. I figured it was because the mail ones were veiwed by so many people maybe it was damamged? But the instore one didn't play either... I might just download it from itunes and watch it that way...
