Some myLot members have suggested that I join the more popular myLot interest groups, that have more members. This is claimed to be the better strategy, in terms of earning money.
It is obvious that the interest groups with more members, will have more discussions posted. Discussions will be posted at a faster rate. The level of activity is higher.
The same applies to responses. It is easier to get more people responding to your discussions, due to the high level of activity within that interest group. The amount of responses will affect your earnings also.
The interesting part is, some popular interest groups, are so popular and active, to the extent that when I post a discussion, few minutes later, my discussion disappears from the first page!
It went all the way down the first page and entered the second page, just minutes after I posted it. I estimate about eight to ten discussions were posted minutes after mine was.
If that is the case, then it'll be very difficult to get people to respond to my discussions, am I right?
So, what do you think? Is it a good thing, or a bad thing, to join a popular and active interest group, in terms of earning money?
But, despite all of the above, in terms of the enjoyment or the satisfaction of online socializing, and not in terms of earning money, joining the more active and popular interest groups is a good thing, from my point of view.
I'd love to know your comments.
