Can't get that tune out of my head!

On Monday I went grocery shopping. Usually I buy donuts or some other sweet thing for the family. This time it was chocolate chocolate chip muffins. I get to the checkout line and the cashier starts singing "Do You Know the Muffin Man". Darn him, I haven't been able to get that tune out of my head all week!
Anybody else have a tune they can't get out of their head?

Bad Klingon, bad...
I sing that one a lot actually because I have a cat named Sunshine.
When the kids will let me sing, that is.

Ohhh my gosh!! Don't you HATE that??? It seems I get one stuck in my head and it won't EVER go away!!! grrrrr It's usually the last song I heard play on the radio, or a commercial I saw on TV or heard a friend sing. And they are sooooooo hard to get rid of...

I swear they must test those things before airing them and if people can't get them out of their heads no matter what they try, those are the songs that they decide to use!

For a while i was cursed with the Barney song because my cousin's daughter kept singing it (by the way i HATE that purple freak i was scared of him as a child and as an adult loath him lol) she has a DVD and kept asking her mom to play the "I love you" song over and over and over.... AHHH... it was in my head even after she did fall asleep well till perhaps 12am when my husband and i finally got home (i live an hour away from her)... to say the least i put any song on just to flush it out... didn't help too much =P

This happens to me all the time and the worst part of it is my brain tends to place the most comfortable word for the one I have forgotten in the original lyrics and the newly made song keeps humming inside my head.I just hate my creation at times but it stays there for some time whatever you do.

Which reminds me of one of my really bad multi-lingual jokes that I pull on my husband. Whenever that song plays I ask him who Felix is and he gives me a blank stare and then I tell him, "you know, Felix Navidad, that's who the song's about."

It happens sometimes. You hear a particular tune and silly as it may sound, it remains in your head all day and at times even for afew days. It needn't be your favourite song and at times it may be a freekish song, yet it sticks and some time syoustart singing it aloud and people around you stare and wonder what you find so interseting in that song.

True although if I start singing one out loud it is generally my kids who are giving me the stare!

I think it's the Song-String-Syndrome! Haha! What a funny way to call it.
Well, our brain usually registers a tune and tries to play
it again and again like a parrot. Lol
Maybe, it's our brains' way of saying "Im all fed up with your thinking!"
So he stops and gets stuck on a tune. LOL
Camp Rock Demi Lovato's "This is real, this is me..."
rings in my head right now and she doesn't mind to stoppp....

I can definitely relate to this. As part of my course in piano, my instructor told me to transcribe or learn how to play "Way Back Into Love" on piano. Darn, that song stuck in my head for a whole month! Right now, I believe it's my anthem not because I can relate to it but because I can't get it out of my head.
Cheers~

Not right now but it happens to me once in a while. I ride our traditional "jeepneys" everyday and they sometimes have their radio playing. I always here this weird radio jingle. I always hear it that I sometimes sing it while in school.
It sometimes gets so embarrassing because my classmates would tease me about it. What I do is just MIND POWER!!! Hahaha. I try to listen to other types of music to get it out of my head.
