Really?! I guess you're quite a busy person so sometimes, you even forget your own birthday. Your reply is well taken and thanks.

Well then, basing on what you've just mentioned; I guess I'm included in that category, since I really don't make a big fuss about no one greeting me. In fact, I just celebrated my nth birthday this week without telling any of my officemates that it's my birthday.

Admittedly, I'm glad my sentimental side didn't strike me last Tuesday because if it did, I would have cried then because no one among my officemates greeted me. Anyway, I guess it's your way of making yourself still feel special with celebrating your own birthday with a bash.

Sorry I forgot to tell you that I've noticed that you're a newbie here in myLot community a while ago. Anyway, welcome to this great place and hope you enjoy it here.

Your admission made me laugh, friend, because honestly, I was also quite thankful that nobody among my officemates remembered my birthday last Tuesday because like you, I also don't have the funds to treat them for snacks these days.

Oh sorry, if I caused you to be sad. I don't mind your venting. But I'd like to share this experience of mine which hopefully, would console you in any way. Here it goes.
My former boyfriend of more than three years never ever gave me flowers, real or plastic ones, when we were still together even during courtship. But when we broke up because of a third party from his side, a distressed pregnant woman in particular, he tried courting me through giving me real roses. Unfortunately, I never gave him the chance to talk with me again so he wasn't able to hand me the roses himself. And, I have already made up my mind then to not give him another opportunity to hurt my feelings again.
My husband also never gave me flowers eversince we got together, but he is quite romantic and loves cuddling. But the problem is, I'm not the type who wants to be cuddled the way he does. I guess guys have different attitudes about relationships. And us women can't shape them to the mold we'd like them to be. That's a reality of life.

It was indeed my birthday last Tuesday but I definitely don't feel sad that nobody among my officemates remembered about it. In fact, it's the other way around. I was quite thankful because I don't have spare funds to treat them to a snack.
