Importance of ENGLISH language in today's world...

English is foreign language. English is an important language of the world. People try to learn it because of its importance in commerce and industry. Those who want to got o foreign countries should learn it.
Some people support english and some people oppose English. Who oppose, they say that we can not be free in the real sense unless it is abolished. It is difficult language.
In my opinion both the views are one sided . The real position is that English should go.

i m from indian and we can't discard english language.every where we require sound knowledge of english languadge in both form written as well spoken.its a foreign language we feel bit difficulty in learning it,but it is main required tools in all industries.it affects one's progress in particular field like in college,in office,in multinational companies.
but i don't say that without english language one can not achieve what one deserves...achievemnet is the matter of talent and hardwork.english might have make his way bit easy.

i think a basic understanding of English is vital as a means of communication in the modern world. I t is the predominant language of the internet, of both sea and air communication, of most radio ham work and international commerce.
However, i think we must also realise that English is a dynamic, organic, living language, fluid and changing. It has become the predominant language of the world simply because it is so fluid and can addapt to include both words from other languages and concepts drawn from other cultures.
With this in mind, I think its clear that a sufficient grasp of English is now necessary to operate in the modern world. Without it, it becomes almost imposible to interact with or use modern means of international communication
