Wasn't he suppose to be one of your ace pitchers? Now he has been let go, are you sad or happy?

Well, I don't feel sad for Kerry Wood since I'm pretty sure a team somewhere somehow would need a quality closer. He's no longer the touted ace who once struck out 20 in a game, but he's reliable enough to do one inning stints here and there to keep him safe and not expose his previous injuries.
He had the potential to be great, especially in all those early years, but as the first reply noted, the Cubs just used the heck out of him and in turn, may have caused him to have more injuries and time off.

I am disappointed that the Cubs did not bring Kerry up into the leaque correctly. He came up on fire striking out every man, woman, and child. The Cubs just totally abused him with all the innings when he first came up with no concern for the future. I am not sad nor happy that they let him go just disappointed that such an awesome pitcher was burnt up and used to much when he first arrived and probably will shorten his career, if not already over.
