which psp games would you recommend?  

i just reinstalled patapon right now. previously the game used to get stuck on the very first loading screen but now i know how to overcome that. i am sure i am gonna love this game.

i like gta games as well, but not on the psp... waiting eagerly for the gta 4 game on the PC btw =D

and i have played final fantasy crisis core and liked it!

i just installed patapon yesterday and it's something unique =) i already have tekken dark resurrection and it is one of the games that is always on my memory stick. i haven't played loco roco but i'll try it out on your suggestion. thanks =)

i think i will pass on this one, i am already an addict to tiger woods 06 on the ps2. =)

yeah, we can play racing and fighting games on and on... plus some puzzle games are brilliant too, unless you really become too good at it.

When it comes to puzzles, I prefer those that I could actually solve with my hands like that Rubik's Cube or those puzzle wires that you either have to put together (which is the easy part) and/or separate from each other (the tricky part). If its in a video game, I guess I'd go for those in 2D.

When you mentioned Bust a Move, I could recall that PlayStation game wherein you have to input commands for your characters to dance and progress those commands to make your characters do combos. The other Bust a Move game that I remember would be that game wherein you play as those cute dinosours that try to shoot those coloured balls to prevent those that are falling from crushing them..

i downloaded the dinosaur bust a move, but it turned out to be japanese =P although i can still get the game started, i don't think i can stand the japanese menus. i have already deleted it, i will download the english version if i find it.

i like 2D puzzlers as well, but there are some exceptions too. i like crush, it is 3D but you have to solve the puzzles and find the way using 2D perspective as well, sounds confusing, it is, but you have to play this game to see how unique and good it is.

and another good one is echochrome. it gets frustrating most of the time but it's really worthed when you finally solve the level.

Hmmm, an english version of that game.. I guess it would be nice to have that game since one wouldn't be bored easily with it and anyone could play it without so much complications (^_^ )

I think I tried echochrome before but, jus tried it since I was looking for games that I could play for long durations or something with an interesting story in it.

:) there isnt any story to echochrome. i have been playing sega and playstation games on my psp (downloaded the required popsloader and software). just replaying the games that i loved so much in the early days, like shining force 1/2 on sega and suikoden 1/2 on the ps1. i have final fantasy 7 as well but i ll play it after i finish all of these and crisis core as well.

u gotta try these if u r into rpgs and story telling. especially suikoden. legend of heroes released for the psp looks similar but i haven't played, now i have my hands full =D

Those three laws in echochrome are really difficult sometimes to apply whenever solving those puzzles/problems and I think I was only able to solve a few one when I tried it.

Haven't tried using emulators on my PSP to play games from previous gaming systems that the PSP can handle. We still have a PS2 so if I do get that interest to play old games, I would just play it on the big screen again. Perhaps I just need more memory space, I mean, with just PSP games, I'm already having a hard time allocating space, what more on those good games from before? (^_^") I happen to like Vagrant Story among those PSX games.

i was playing echochrome yesterday and got stuck on a level for an hour, and in the end i just switched it off and even after that i kept thinking of what to do =D

vagrant story barely takes about 200 MB of space and the psx plugin isn't very large as well. i see u have a ps2. i v already worn off my ps2 ;) it's been 6 years already. the lens just gave up.

It is a unique game after all, utilizing perspectives and making it either two dimensional or three dimentional and making things appear like it was connected with another part of the puzzle/problem piece. Good game to spend time if you have some to spare.

So you worn out your PS2? Why not have it modified to play games within a hard disk drive so that you wouldn't have to try on utilizing the lens? Similar to PSPs reading games from the Memory Stick, just that like games that one could recommend, put games that you wouldn't get easily tired of playing or you'd be going back and forth to your computer just to load the hard disk with game titles that you might fancy.

wow clever modification. never thought about anything like that with the ps2 but unfortunately this isn't available where i live. i have already had the lens powered up twice (or thrice). now it won't work at all. i switched to PC multiplayer gaming since my ps2 broke down. bought a pretty good system as well and in no mood of going back on consoles. pc and psp is enough

I think the principle used on the PSP to read games from the Memory Stick was actually applied first with the PS2, well, that's just what I think, difference would be that the actual hardware modification on the expansion bay and hard disk on the console while, the PSP only used a modified battery accompanied with a modifying memory stick to have the PSP have a modified firmware.

I was even thinking that maybe one could use an external disk drive for the PS2 so that if you do get to wore out the defaut lens, one could plug in an external disk drive and have the games be read there? That's just what I think anyway since I think you could do that with an X-Box, haven't tried it though.. not really that brave to try those ideas. (^_^ )

As long as we're satisfied with our gaming, be it on game'n watch handhelds or theatrical experience with console/pc gaming, to each their own.
