UNR's marching band to be cut?  

This is what schools are always coming to. My school, the University of Nevada, Reno, is most likely going to be cutting the marching band come next year. Our wonderful governor decided to make 17% budget cuts on the University. Of course the first thing they think to cut is marching band. Not only will this leave the school without a marching band, but it will render the music education major at are school null. We need at least two years of marching in order to get a degree in music education. Anyways, I'd like to hear your views on education cutting music programs, and what should be done in order to help save bands like UNR's.
