How to do Audio Transcription?

I have some files in English and I need to do transcription of it. So, I need help regarding this? what is this job all about and how to do it? and please answer in full details....

assuming that you have audio files without music . You need speech to text software .
some thing like Dragon NaturallySpeaking voice recognition software :-)
