Likewise here... all in my family prefer buying foods in a market place due to a cheaper price and we could even try to lower the price or make some "TAWAD" (Bargaining in Filipino language) Unlike in a Grocery store wherein the price is a little higher and have a fixed price already. There you go, absolutely PRO MARKET here. :) Nice topic by the way!

farmers markets here usually only have veggies, some fruit & occasionally duck or chicken. I only buy my veggies there otherwise I shop between Wal-mart, Aldi's & Pick'n Save

I used to go shopping at Walmart when I needed to buy groceries, but recently it got so crowded in there. You have to wait in line for like 10 minutes to check out. I usually go shopping at Publix and Whole Foods (Wild Oats) because they have healthier food and not so many people shop there because the prices are a little bit higher then the rest of the supermarkets. I rarely go to Walmart now. If you only care about the price and not about the quality of the food, Walmart is better for you. But if you care more about the quality of the food instead of the price, I suggest Publix and Whole Foods. Whole Foods has alot of organic stuff. Oh and I buy my vegetables and fruits at the farmer's markets.
