is herbalife really effective?  

I haven't used it personally buy I know a lot of people who've tried it. Years ago my mom tried it and she really lost a lot of weight.
Two of my close friends tried this and they too lost some weight. one of them even lost 10lbs in 1-2 months.
according to them, you just have to be serious with the supplements & other herbalife products. and stick to the program :)

I took herbalife about 3 years ago. It IS very effective, you just need willpower. I just found it expensive to maintain. The protein shake works best with supplementary pills. The whole set that would last for a month cost almost Php 3,000 or even more. To lose weight faster, it was best to substitute 2 major meals with the protein shake and nothing more. If one is not used to eating a little, it would be hard because you'll feel hungry at once. However, I lost a lot of weight.

Herbalife are effective but be careful there may be products that are fake. I like to take herbalife but I just don't have the resources instead I indulged in great exercises and low calorie food.

Herbalife is very well-known in my country a few years ago and it has suffered the same fate as other networking companies. I have not tried it myself. Cheers!!

Yes yes, Didnt you know. Well i dont know about herbalife , is it a product?? Or you meant herbat life or something like that. Well i know some people who have herbal tea and herbal soup and all. And trust me they do reduce somce nice weights. One person whom i knew that reduced 5 kgs in 1 month with that herbal tea. We should try these herbal things because they are not uneffective and all and they work and they dont contain chemicals also. Well anyways happy mylotting :)

i tried it some years ago in Germany. I wanted to gain weight with it.

For me it didn't worked out, for my brother it worked out (gained weight), other relatives felt also good with it but most of them stopped it after one or two years because of the high costs.

You also could buy some of the vitamin pills (e.g. Centrum covers nearly all necessary vitamins and minerals) and drink one cup of (soy) milk instead of a meal (because the powder is from soya bean).

It should have the same effect like the over-expensive Herbalife.

Side-effects are from the sweetener "Aspartame" (it's also in Coke, Sprite instead of normal sugar). This sweetener can cause headache, digestion problems, brain tumor and many more things. It is one of the ingredients in the big box from Herbalife (i forgot the name but it is the box with the vitamins/minerals which you should take for each meal).

Another side effect was the teas with the herbal mix. There are researches in Switzerland and Israel which said more than 10 people get sick with their liver some needed transplantations and after some years they were tested again, and one woman had again very bad results for the liver.

The problem with this marketing of Herbalife and other Multi-Level-Marketing companies is that it is more about selling the product than about knowing the effect or side effects. It's said that you can gain/loose or maintain your weight with it and that it's healthy because there are all vitamins added, no sugar and so on.

If you would tell about side effects who wanted to sell the product to other people??
