I need reliable and cheap service for high speed internet and for wireless internet that high speed for the magic Jack to work. I just don't know the places to go to for these services. If any of you know anything that will help me please, please my friends let me know. My mother has a laptop and she has a wireless card for her computer, but she needs a wireless service to go with the Magic Jack as I bought one for her too. I don't have wireless but I can fix this with a simple thing if I need to. Thank you so much for any help that you have. Also if anyone uses the Magic Jack I'd like to hear the pros and cons of having it. Thanks again!

Yea I heard it sounds good. My dad is talking about buying it but we don't have high speed internet. You can try Quest, Comcast, Verizon, Roadrunner, Yahoo, PeoplePC. I believe they have options to get DSL, FIOS, or Cable connection. If you have any experience with it I would LOVE to hear from it. It really sounds too good to be true, 20 USD to use the service? It sounds so wonderful! Pablo

Thank you so much for all of the names. I will check it out. My daughter has the magic jack and uses comcast for her high speed internet. That means she can now use the magic jack for $20 a year and comcast for her high speed internet and tv service. This is great for her. I however am having a problem finding someone that has just high speed service in my area. I'd love to be able to have just one $20 phone bill a year like the people with the magic jack. I just have to find someone that services my area for high speed internet. My daughter loves her service, she has a crisp, clean line with no static and no problems like she had before with other phone services. She got to have the same prefix on her number as before. She loves it!

I am curious to hear what people have to say about the Magic Jack, and about your experiences. I have considered purchasing one for myself. It seems too good to be true. Let me know how it works out for you please. As far as high speed internet, I would suggest purchasing a broadband connection through your local cable company. They usually seem to be the most reliable and do not require you to have phone service in order to sign up. I myself have dealt with both Time Warner/ Road Runner and Comcast. They both seem to work very well. I will also be interested to hear what others have to say about the Magic Jack. Thank you for posting this discussion, and have a great day!

I will let you know how it works, my daughter got one too. She will most likely be the first one to get hers going since she has a company she uses for tv service and her internet. It does sound to good to be true. But people that want to save money or just need a cheaper way to have things they need it sounds great. I can't wait for the replies to come in. Thank you for your suggestions. I will call them and check on them.

Ky it has been a couple of months or so and I got the magic Jack for myself and mother. We neither of us have found any way that is affordable to have highspeed internet with everything else. It's all close to $100. or more. I gave one of them to my daughtere, she lives just 5 miles from me and got a package deal with comcast I believe, she has the tv(cable) programs and the highspeed. I don't remember what she is paying. The jack is fine for short conversations there. If she is on the phone an hour or more it starts acting up or just shuts her off. I don't know the problem and she hasn't called magic jack to see if they can help with the problem. Many people use it with no problem.
