Imagine having a social worker insisting on coming into your home to strip search your children because she received an anonyomous tip 8 months ago. She had no warrant that was signed by a judge.

Well I'm telling you now that if someone came to my home to search one of my children clothed or otherwise- she damn will better have a warrant or she better be ready to come to blows(and I am not a violent person but when it comes to my boys, it wouldn't take much). I would never let anyone search one of my boys without an oficer present and a court order. She had no right and not a leg to stand on and any parent who allows this to happen needs a long talking to.
Happy posting!

People fear the government today because you hear so many crazy stories.

Well I don't completely disagree with you but I don't see what the social worker really has to do with the governement in the way that you are saying but again I do see your point. Hope that makes sense.

well i am on home schooling and i would not let anyone try to search me if they did not have a warrant. and it would not be a social worker, i think that is against the law at least here it has to be a cop to search you. but that is crazy and cant believe a social worker would do that.

I agree 100% with you james- I couldn't imagine a parent letting that happen.

I could never imagine that happening. When I was lil we had social workers coming to my house wanting to talk to us kids about how we are treated at home etc. I thought that was kind of odd....Our family treats us good so I dont see y they would need a social worker. But I know school had somethin 2 do wit it. Cuz the next day one showed up at school and I had 2 get pulled out of class. I didn't tell them a whole lot as to because I didn't understand any of it. But this case thats pretty harsh doing it now and finding out 8 months ago? And how she kno if the tip is the truth or a lie? Weird how things work now!

You here about these kids that die at the hands of their parents and social works say they have so much time on their hands that they cannot be checking things like they should...seems to me they have their priorities mixed up.

First of all, she has no right to barge in and search a home without a search warrant in hand. That is a stupid move on her part. Second of all, she should have also contacted the authorities. And by the authorities I mean the police or any kind of law enforcement office, lawyer, judge, for example.
If I were in this family's position, I certainly wouldn't let her search my home. Especially without a search warrant.

I agree. She should have called the police....would have been interesting to see how fast that social worker can run.

You would think so...but people are so afraid of the law and the government, that they practically salute....unfortunately, the criminals aren't.

Well, that social worker wasn't very smart at all. A good social worker would have known about that and wouldn't have strip searched without a warrant. Although, it is somewhat the mother's fault for letting the social worker inside the house without explaining why. I would have been a bit cautious about letting in someone that won't tell me why they are there...

I am wondering who gave her permission to do it.

That's absolutely unbelieveable!!! What is the United States of America coming to? I guess this and other cases like it and the total unlawfulness of them all is why my husband left the USA and came to Canada. Nutty things like this just don't happen up here. I'm glad it made the news, and I hope that social worker gets fired and loses her licence.
