Today is the 80th Birthday of Mickey Mouse... so let's celebrate it..

Did you know that today, November 18th is the 80th birthday of Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse cartoon character. It is interesting to me that when he started out he was a rather nasty little mouse and was called "Steam Boat Willie" Here is one of the "Steam Boat Willie" Cartoons from 1928. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEEaT_UQnVM This is the Mickey Mouse Club from the 1970s... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILm6WSQGh_k This was from Mickey's 60th birthday and was just one of a series of videos still on you tube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lSpXE-xZTs4&feature=related I am wondering if any of you had any memory of Mickey Mouse or of the Mickey Mouse Club ... wahooooooo didnt know it was but I was celibrating my grand d aughters birthday yesterday she turned 4. and yup I used to watch the old Mickey mouse club with all the kids in it now my grnad daughter watches the new one I liked the kids much better .

She watches the new Micky Mouse Club but her arty as cinderelles theyme Thought there for awhil i t would be Mickey Mouse but Cinderalla won out1

Congratulations on your granddaughter's 4th birthday! So she shares the day with Mickey Mouse... cute! I have not seen the new Mickey Mouse Club. Thanks for your report on it.

I am not surprised... that cinderella would win out... It is a girl like herself... It is rather hard to identify with a mouse... Grins. Thanks for posting... I wish you and your family happiness.

Me, Mickey and my college roommate - I'd share my roommate's name, but I don't know if she'd want me to or not. So, I'm not going to. This was taken around 1990.
Gotta say "Happy Birthday" to Good Ole Mickey Mouse. When I was young, we went to Disneyland on a regular basis and I just love all of it. Of course, I have a photo of Mickey, my roommate and me - I was in college at the time. I'll upload the photo - yes, my hair was really short at the time.

Happy 80th Birthday, to Mickey Mouse. I am a weird fan of Mickey Mouse. I love anything with the Mickey Mouse on it, but I do not watch the cartoon series. I think I just love the cute looking mouse! ;p
