who is professor snape?

Professor Snape is Harry's potions teacher at Hogwarts. I don't want to reveal any spoilers since there are still unreleased movies and I don't want to assume that you've read the books. Professor Snape is more than just a professor at Hogwarts; he is an important part of Harry's past, present and future.

Professor Snape is more than just the potions teacher, He is an important part of the series. I won't spoil anything for anyone, but the hard decisions made by Snape in his life helped shape who he is today. He is one of my favorite characters in the series.

Severus fell deeply in-love with Lily at a very young age. In 1971 he began his first term in hogwarts where he was sorted into Slytherin. Severus became the immediate enemy of James Potter and Sirius Black and was frequent victim of their bullying. Snape developed a passion for the Dark Arts and Pureblood supremacy, which put his friendship with Lily under strain. After leaving school he joined the Death Eaters a long with a large group of his fellow slytherin. He was describe as thoroughly unpleasant, cynical and sarcastic individual and a persistent antagonist to Harry and his friends.

Professor Snape is the worst person and the most hated character throughout the series but becomes the best person at the end of the series.

Snape is the ironical character in all of the harry potter books. He is one of the most hated character in the series but he turned out to be an inspiration of an unconditional love.

Professor Snape is a strong person both magically and mentally. He went through much pain at a young age. For example, constant bullying from Harry's father and his friends. The only reason Snape is so mean to Harry all the time is because he looks just like his father except for the eyes and Snape hates Harry's father. I don't know if you've read the last two books or not so I won't say much more, but Snape will play a big part in the last two movies either for the better or for the worse.
