| | I have tried open office on my old computer because it requires less memory. Yeah i have experienced having difficulties importing MS files to Openoffice and vice versa. Some of the graphics were not retained too. They're either too large or too small. That's the reason i uninstalled it again to avoid problems especially when it's really really important. | | | | | | |

| | I had installed Open Office too in one of our workstation at work. As for now we have not experience yet that kind of problem but i am expecting like that one to occur. I am also worried of the mdb files from access to be open in Base coz we are using mdb files in our job, I am afraid that we will be having problems with it. Have you tried it? Thanks for sharing bro! | | | |

| | Sorry but i don't know what MDB files mean. I always import Openoffice files to Microsoft Office 2007 because that's what i'm using and when i created a resume that comes with templates using OpenOffice, the template's margins were all mixed up. | | | |

| | I made the change at home a short while back. I only do simple word documents but I've had no problems so far. Sorry never used Base, so I've no idea it can handle mdb files. A quick google suggests you can convert them. But I would recommend making a copy of the Access databases you use, and try converting a few of them. | | | | | | |

| | Reading a few more web pages it looks like you can open, rather than convert, access databases with Open Office Base. | | | |

| | I have difficulties migrating from Microsoft Office to Open office. It gives me a lot of headaches. In our office too, we are try to migrate to Open office and it gives us difficulties migrating Microsoft office to Open office. When the files are very important, I let them use two of our computers that have microsoft office. But when it's only simple documents or spreadsheet then they use open office. | | | | | | |
