Do you have a firm no hitchhiker policy or do you decide based on circumstances or gut intuition who you would carry in your vehicle.Would your decision be gender biased ,for instanceyou trust a female hitchhiker more than a male hitchhiker ?.Is it also dependent on age ,would you prefer an older person rather than a teenager.Would you take into consideration the time and place where you pick up this person. I think the underlying principle here is safety and how we assess what are the safe groups.I have a friend who says he only carries women in his vehicle, mind you there may be other considerations ,but the basic principle is that women are safer hitchhikers. Also a safe bet is older people ,so I suppose old women would be an extremely safe bet.Even though I have heard of young women teaming up with thugs to commit crimes on people who pick up hitchers.Would you for instance bend your rules of "no hitchers" or "only women hitchers" to pick up a man on a lonely street who seemed in need of help.Could you live with knowing that person may have really been in need and how would you feel if you heard they were mugged on the news later .Would you have a conscience attack ? or its your safety first and foremost ?

for me it will depend upon my feelings if i feel that this person is not that trustful then i will not,but i think most men that i will help when there is hitch hiker in the road, but i should keep to my mind always the safeness of my self.

no hitchhikers. they creep me out. who in their right mind hitches anymore? we've all seen the news. If you're still out there hitching then something's not right with you, and I don't want your crazy @$$ in my car.

Personally I would not allow anyone into my car I did not know, except for circumstances like they had broken down or were ill, personal safety and that of my family is paramount.
