Ever tried using Speech Recognition Software?

I recently discovered I had speech recogniton/ voice recognition software on my computer. I was going to purchase it because I was curious, but then it dawned on me to go down to my start menu and type in speech recognition -- and low & behold! there it was. I've been practicing with it and it seems to work fairly well. It says the more you work with it the better your computer will be trained to understand you. I still don't have it down easy enough to replace my 2-finger typing LOL... but if I do it would be a huge convenience just to sit back and talk to my computer and let it type and open programs for me. What about you, have you ever tried speech recognition on your computer?

Well I Currently Am Using Speech Recognition Software As I am writing This Response ,Well All I can say is It's very Cool software As We Speak Its writes off,I did Not Buy The Software I got it From Internet Free of cost ,It Was by Luck I Got This Speech recognition Free version ,it is very Easy ,Without typing ,As We Speak Its write,It's Really is Worth it..Not only Does It write,it Can Also open Other Application,s In computer...Anyways Happy lottin.. happy

I can't seem to get mine to work smoothly either. oftentimes when i say something it misinterprets me or asks me to repeat myself over & over again until I just say F-it!. I am gradually getting the hang of it but it sounds like you've got it down. How did you get yours to work so smoothly???

Have tried speech recognition once with the MS word. tried to get it ready but spent an hour at it. but it could not type correctly what i say. it required more training. i got so absurd results that i didn't believe that training would give me very good results. also i didn't know till when i need to train. then i gave up.
