Ever heard the drums at the start of this song,it is perhaps the most fitting rhythm ever chosen for a song.It is representive of the beating of your animal heart as you run through the jungle with scenery rushing by.The beat also conjures up images of lush vegetation framed against a blod red sky.
And the lyrics are pretty good too ,I particularly like the comparison they make with childish innocence and animal innocence -"animals and children tell the truth they never lie "simply novel.
AND VOCALS WILL NEVER BE MATCHED BY ANY SINGER EVER !!!!!

WOW! Another great admirer to the unique voice of Darren Hayes and Savage Garden. They are my favourite pop group. Animal song is excellent and the drums are incredible. The vocals will never be matched by any singer ever you are correct. "I want to live like animals wild and free" WoW
My favourite song though is affrimation and the Lyrics are the best song lyrics ever writen to me. I am so glad to meet a fan of excellent music. Take care ronnyb.

yes I am and will always be but I dont know if I can choose a favourite,almost every song they ever did was a fav of mine at some time first it was animal song ,then crash and burn ,then affirmation then two beds and a coffee table.I am confused lol.And I havent spoken about my favs from the first album.I heard the first album after I listened to Affirmation,and you know that the first album has gems like tears of pearls,santa monica ,to the moon and back.
They are just a great band !!!!!!

No I have not heard this,who sings it I would love to hear it.It sounds amazing the way you describe it. kids do tell the truth at least my grandaughter does she had through marrage and such like quite a few nannys.she has a great grandmother in fact two and they are apparently "very old and ancient" her words, I am old and she needs to help me with the garden as you are supposed to help old people like me don't you know,my hubby has stopped dying his hair thank goodness and now he is silver and it is lovely but my grandaughter says he is too old now ,but apparently I can still be helped.Her great grandfather my Dad is ok because he buys her ice cream and he is wonderful apparently she will not hear a word against him.Take care

Well savage garden is an australian duo that came to popularity between 1996 - 2000 after which they broke up .During that time they gave us two platinum albums and numerous gems like the one I mentioned.They two memebers complemented each other so well ,one member was somewhat reserved ,Daniel while the other was more outspkoken,one was a superb musical composer the other one of the best vocalist I had ever heard and when they wrote the lyrics was just magical.It a pity they broke up,you have to check them out .

I love Savage Garden and "Animal Song" is one of their best songs. I too love the drums intro as it's just so dynamic and sets up the song beautifully. I wish they got back together as another Savage Garden album would be amazing.
