Is fitting wedding gown before the actual wedding day is a bad omen?

Some provinces in the Philippines still believe that fitting a wedding gown before the actual wedding is a sign that the wedding might not push through, is this true?

Well, I haven't heard of this before. I actually went and picked up and fitted my wedding gown the day before my wedding. I thought we should do that, so that in case we gain a bit weight or slim down a bit just before the wedding, there is still chance to edit the wedding gown to fit our body shape. I had a happy wedding ceremony and now I'm having happy marriage life too!
