Do people use their turn signal where you live?

I'm a new driver and in the city where I live it seems like nobody ever uses their turn signal. If they do, I always come upon them when they've left it on and are not making a turn. It seems like drivers are either lazy or they're trying to trick people as they drive so that they can go faster. Is this unusual, or do people act this way in your area, too? I'd hoped it was more common for people to follow the rules of the road.

Most people do use the signals for turning,where i live.You will always get the few that don't.We also get the ones that turn the signal on right at the last minute,before they turn.People should be following the rules of the road,it would cut down on accidents.
