I know another Thanksgiving post.
Just curious what time will you and your guest start eating the Thanksgiving dinner. Long ago I used to go to my cousin's house for Thanksgiving dinner and we never ate on time. She was one of those people that never start anything on time. Traveling a long distance you want to eat be entertained and get back home before too late. During that time I would have to go to work the next day and I was getting home late. She would tell us that the dinner was going to be around 3:00 pm and I would say good that would give me time to eat and visit and get back home and rest up for the following work day. Well we would not eat at 3 o'clock it would be every bit 6 O'clock before we ate.
My question is: Did you give your guest a certain time?
And will you start at that time?

We usually try to eat anywhere between 1 and 3. I did not have to tell anyone what time to be here. My daughter and grandson were going to come in after he got out of school today and be here tonight but she called earlier to see if it would be alright if they left out early in the morning to come. I am really glad that she decided to do it that way, it would have taken her many hours longer to get here this evening and tonight and there won't be all the holiday traffic in the morning. Last year it took her about 10 hrs to get here from 300 miles away and her husband come down the next morning and had not trouble at all, made it in 5 hours.

Well I'm not the hostess this year, but my sister is, and she told us to all be there around 2pm, but not be in a big hurry, so whatever that means, I don't know, I guess we probably won't be eating at 2pm...lol. The drive to her house is a two and a half hour drive one way, so we don't want to have to be eating too late and getting home real late either. We don't ever start on time anyway, my whole family is like that, we're always running about an hour behind in everything...lol. If they come to my house, I try to start at the right time, which I think we may be here for Christmas.
