There was a man named Thomas who had rented a room from my grandmother. He treated her with so much love and respect. At first, she loved and respected him. They grew close for he'd do anything for her. He was a tall man and very quiet but when he talked he always had some comment that made us all laugh. Then my grandmother got sick with cancer and we think it went to her brain because she became so mean not only to Thomas but to everybody. She was next to impossible to care for but we managed. Thomas had helped all he could. He had taken care of two other elderly people who have died and he did the same for my grandmother. He died on Wednesday. May he find rest and peace. He will never be forgotten.
There was a man who mom sat for and his name was Mr. Grant. He had such a gentle heart. I've only met him one time. It was a time when mom was home from the hospital after having a stroke. He cried when he saw her because he was so happy for he didn't think he'd see her again but he did. She got to visit with him a few times after that. He died on Wednesday. May he find rest and peace. He will never be forgotten.
Tomorrow will be 11 years since my friends passing. She died on Thanksgiving day. Her name was Lacy. I grew up with her and we had some really fun times and almost landed in jail for peeing in public!! And for having a ton of beer cans in the back of the car!! Thank goodness the cop believed us when he was told that it was her brothers car, which it was!! I really miss her. She died in a car wreck on the highway. Her boyfriend blamed her saying she was driving erratically and he grabbed the wheel. The police were able to prove that he was the one driving. I don't know how he was punished for I didn't watch the news to see. That's not what mattered, at least not to me. What mattered was my friend was gone. 11 years tomorrow. I hope she's found her rest and her peace. She will never be forgotten.
May we never forget our loved ones. Especially the ones who've made a mark on our lives.

Hi Cats, this sure is a bittersweet time of year for you. Next year just has to be better. I haven't had a chance to respond to any of your post, I have read them though. I know you have been having a rough time. I am so looking forward, for you and the hubby, when things settle down. You both deserve a break, momma and daddy too. Take care, everytime I see one of your discussions in my email, I am so hoping that you have good news. I am going to keep on hoping. I wish you all the best.

Oh Polly! I don't expect everyone to respond to every discussion of mine! I understand everybody has a life of their own and there are so many discussions on mylot to choose from and to try to do them all is just insane!! lol But I've gotta tell ya though, I wonder how many still believe me, that what I've told is true. It has to be unreal to read but trust me, every bit of it is true but if I could change it, I would in a heart beat!! (who am I kidding?!) lol
So no, I don't take offense to such things. There's things out there that are much more worth my worrying about however, if I don't hear from my dear friends after so long, I'll start to worry but not in a way that they didn't respond to any of my discussions but because, like you, you're my dear friend. *smile*
