I would love to do it for a living i just dont really know how to do the business end of it. have no clue really how to get my name out there.

The best place to start is doing it for friends. Word of mouth is very powerful. If you really want to be serious with it you can do what I did and start a website with all the little projects you've done. Then it just comes down to getting your name out there. Something that could work for you is creating a facebook group for this and inviting all your friends to join and have them invite their friends etc.

If you go to my profile and click on my website you'll see what I did with my hobby. It's a lot of fun and relatively easy to do. Again it depends on how serious you want to get with it.

i think some people can draw and others just cant do it.
I cannot write i know that. i have no creativity when it comes to story making. And I wish i did so bad. I think that would be exciting.
I think its great you have taken a break to spend more time with your husband. I hope he is feeling better and on his way to recovery soon!

That pic is great. I write short article content for a website, but am also working on two books right now. One is an historical romance set in the goldrush of the 1800's, the other is an autobiographical piece (with some fiction thrown in). Hubby has good days and bad and is still going through chemotherapy, but it is working, so we have much to be thankful for.

oh wow. Your book sounds so interesting. I love the romance books.
And Im glad to hear your husband is improving! Im sure it means so much to him for you being there for him!

It would really kind of depend on what kind of beads I use, how expensive they are and such. That particular one is marked at $298.

You know how you look at the price on something and put it down rather quickly when it is too expensive? That is what popped in my head when I read your response.

lol. When I first saw it i knew it was out of my price range because of the detail. Then when you told me the price it was confirmed. lol. It's just because Im always broke lately.. lol. But Im sure someone whith money would buy it. It reminds me of a marilyn monroe piece. I can see myself wearing it. with a strapless dress and some highheels. it really is beautiful and totally worth the price, actually i would probablly look at it and admire but know its out of my price range to begin with.

yeah, I understand the money thing. I quit my job 6 months ago to work on building this business, so......until I get established, I am broke myself. That is the most expensive one I have in my collection, at the moment, though.
And, a strapless dress is exactly what I had in mind when I made it. I always picture the style of dress a piece will go with when I am working.
Sometimes, though, I have to make the piece to match a particular dress, since I do make bridal jewelry. It's not too hard to do, though, especially if I can get to know the bride a little, first. It's fun, and some day, I will be running a profitable business.

i used regular baking clay lol. i got bored and started making them now i have a bunch of em sitting in a drawer adn they just take up space. but it was fun to make them.

my neighbors are very artistic and expressive in their home. .. i can see them wanting to have something different in their house.
No one's come over since i started it. when its finished i'll invite some people over.
